Commercial Vehicle Safety Summit

November 29-30, 2022 • Denver, CO

The North Dakota State University (NDSU), Upper Great Plains Transportation Institute (UGPTI) hosted the third Western Regional Commercial Vehicle Safety Summit. The Summit was co-hosted with the Colorado State Patrol.

This Summit focused on efforts to reduce distracted driving by commercial vehicle drivers and others operating around commercial vehicles, and to improve commercial vehicle safety in work zones. It brought together representatives from law enforcement, driver licensing agencies, universities, and industry to share state best practices, resources, new research findings, and partnerships. It also included FMCSA updates and discussions of priorities and challenges from both a federal and state level.
