Student Bio
Hema joined the DOTSC IT team in May 2025 as a Ph.D. student in Computer Science with a research focus on Machine Learning. Before this, he worked at CCAST, where he supported research computing and developed skills in high-performance computing environments. He is deeply interested in real-world data analysis applications and is actively developing his skills through hands-on projects. His current work includes deploying traffic recognition systems using Raspberry Pi, analyzing vehicle detection and speed, and contributing to automation workflows for transportation data. Hema is also a strong programmer, with growing expertise in Java, SQL, and Python, and actively contributes to both backend development and field deployments within the DOTSC team.
