Workforce Development is a popular term these days particularly given the changing demographics as 'baby-boomers' enter retirement. Much attention is being given to understanding the transportation workforce needs as well as attracting and preparing the next generations of transportation personnel. Join us to hear about and participate in discussions regarding educating, attracting, and retaining workforce within the transportation industry.

Jill Hough, Upper Great Plains Transportation Institute – NDSU

Dr. Jill Hough is the director of the Small Urban & Rural Transit Center within the Upper Great Plains Transportation Institute. She serves on the American Public Transportation Association's Blue Ribbon Panel on Workforce Development and on the Council of University Transportation Center's National Planning Committee for Workforce Development. She has recently completed two three-year terms on the Transit Cooperative Research Program Oversight Project Selection Committee (TOPS) which is a program through the National Academies of Science. Presently she is the Vice-Chair for the National Transit Institute's Advisory Board located at Rutgers the State University of New Jersey.
