Environmental Planning

The seminar will include information on the interaction and effects of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) with transportation policy, the implementation of NEPA with construction timelines, and effects of public opinion on the state of the environment and construction timelines.
Brian Kalk, Upper Great Plains Transportation Institute –
NDSUDr. Brian P. Kalk, is an associate research fellow with the Upper Great Plains Transportation Institute. He received his M.S. in Environmental Engineering and PhD in Natural Resource Management from North Dakota State University.
He currently instructs a variety of courses including International Logistics, Transportation, American Government and Natural Resources. He also serves as the program manager for the Master of Military Logistic program at North Dakota State University and previously served as the Environmental Compliance Officer for Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California.
