Final Report Abstract
The Main Avenue Bridge which spans the Red River provides a major connection between Fargo, ND and Moorhead, MN. ATAC assisted the FM-COG in estimating the impacts of the bridge closure during its reconstruction period, spanning more than one and a half years. The study examined impacts of bridge closure on traffic densities at key intersections in the vicinity of the bridge and along alternative routes. As part of the analysis, various pricing alternatives at the 12th/15th Avenue North toll bridge were examined to evaluate potential traffic shifts.
