Title: | Guidelines for Consolidating Township Roads: A Case Study Showing Benefit/Cost Analysis for Closing Township Roads in North Dakota |
End Date: | May 1999 |
Status: | Completed |
Abstract
Township budgets are limited and not all of the existing roads may be necessary. This study considers the elimination of unnecessary township roads and the reallocation of these dollars to higher priority roads. In addition, changes in the township road network would provide an opportunity to analyze the school bus routing in a case study analysis to eliminate any overlapping of current bus services. Townships will benefit from this analysis as they can view how they can better allocate their limited resources to develop the best township road network to serve their residents.
