Abstract

In conjunction with toXcel and the American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI), this project will quantify the benefits of creating new truck parking spaces, which will involve three main tasks: (1) developing and conducting a survey of commercial vehicle drivers that focuses on their behaviors when obtaining truck parking, (2) conducting research and data analysis on the different costs associated with the truck parking shortage, and (3) adjusting the results for different areas, based on estimates of truck parking demand and supply in those areas.
