Project Details

Abstract

In conjunction with toXcel, the American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI), and the Association for Driver Rehabilitation Specialists, this project assessed the implications of limb loss or impairment on the ability to operate a CMV, including a safety analysis; examined the necessary capabilities needed to operate a CMV; and described available options for vehicle modifications or prosthetic/orthotic devices which can assist a person with limb loss or impairment in operating a CMV.
