Abstract
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the current traffic circulation and pedestrian safety, identify safety concerns, and propose long-term and short-term methods for addressing the issues for Schroeder Middle, Valley Middle, and South Point Elementary schools. Field data revealed some unsafe practices related to school access, traffic circulation within the school vicinity, and parking. Short- and long-term improvements were identified to increase pedestrian safety and overall traffic operations.
