Transportation Engineering Scholarship
2025 Recipient

Emma Wieber, a senior in civil engineering from West Fargo, ND, is a member of the NDSU chapter of the Society of Women Engineers and has volunteered with the local food bank and Luv of Dog Rescue. She has been named to the NDSU Dean’s List. For the past three years, Wieber has worked part-time for WSB Engineering, an engineering design and consulting firm. After graduation, Wieber plans to work as a transportation engineer focusing on practical, hands-on solutions that improve infrastructure while being mindful of the environment. Her goal is to develop infrastructure that addresses immediate needs and anticipates future challenges. This includes designing resilient roadways and bridges that can withstand harsh weather, improve connectivity between rural and urban areas, and ensure that infrastructure investments provide long-term value.
