Staff BioRelated Links![]() Sharijad is an Associate Research Fellow at the Advanced Traffic Analysis Center with a primary concentration in the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) program area. He works closely with NDDOT maintenance department in developing work plans through System Engineering along with project evaluations. He also supports other transportation partner agencies in planning and preparing the ITS framework and regional integration deployment. He received his Ph.D. in Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering department from North Dakota State University (NDSU) and completed his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). Sharijad led the NDSU team to the final stage of national Transportation Technology Tournament (TTT) hosted by the National Operations Center of Excellence (NOCoE) and the ITS Professional Capacity Building (PCB) program of USDOT with his advanced knowledge on ConOps development and SE evaluation. During his time at Urbana, Bangladesh; he was also one of the construction managers for the 'Friendship Training Center' project that won the prestigious 'Aga Khan Award for Architecture' in 2014-2016 cycle. Sharijad and his wife, Wasifa, have a daughter and planning to welcome another this year. He is a cricket enthusiast and has been leading the Fargo Cricket Club since 2016. Research Interests
