Xiong Awarded Wind Engineering FellowshipPosted: Apr 25, 2023 Ziluo Xiong, CSU civil and environmental engineering Ph.D. student, was recently awarded the Jack E. Cermak Wind Engineering Graduate Fellowship by the CSU Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. The $2500 fellowship award is named after Dr. Jack E. Cermak, the "U.S. Father of Wind Engineering," and is awarded to students who demonstrate an interest in wind engineering and fluid mechanics as evidenced by coursework, research, prior employment, and/or internships. Xiong works is working with MPC researcher Dr. Suren Chen, CSU professor of civil and environmental engineering, to research the safety, resilience, and sustainability of critical transportation infrastructure. |
