SURTC Staff Is in Demand for Outreach and TrainingPosted: Nov 9, 2017 SURTC staff have continued to travel the country for training and outreach events. Examples include: Rob Lynch attended the Dakota Transit Association annual meeting Sept. 10-13 in Grand Forks. He staffed SURTC's exhibit at the association's trade show. Lynch attended the Montana DOT's Fall Workshop in Helena, MT, Sept. 27. He gave sessions on strategic planning, performance measures, coordination, and customer service. Jeremy Mattson attended the National Tribal Transportation Conference in Tucson, AZ, Sept. 27 where he presented on rural transit planning, demand estimation, and cost-benefit analysis. Lynch, Ranjit Godavarthy and Jill Hough attended the American Public Transit Association 2017 Expo Oct. 8-12 in Atlanta, GA. SURTC was an exhibitor in the Expo's trade show. Lynch attended the Wyoming Public Transit Association meeting in Jackson, Wy, Oct. 25 and presented sessions on public participation, performance measures, and ethics. He also attended the National RTAP Conference in Omaha, Oct. 29-Nov. 2 where he presented a session on hiring and retaining great employees. Mattson is in Vancouver, BC, Nov. 8-11 for the North American Meeting of the Regional Science Association International. He will present on transit's contribution to livability in rural communities. |
