Bridgelall named to Cyber Security Institute

UGPTI researcher Raj Bridgelall was invited to be a charter member of the NDSU Institute for Cyber Security Education and Research hosted by the Department of Computer Science. The new Institute aims to meet the public need for leading-edge cyber security software development and information technology practices. The Institute also facilitates the development of new knowledge and methodologies in cyber security. It works to disseminate cyber security knowledge with a student-centered approach to training future cyber security practitioners, researchers and educators.

Ali Rahim Taleqani, a PhD student in Transportation and Logistics is a graduate student affiliate of the new Institute. He is also a PhD student in Computer Science.

The Institute for Cyber Security Education and Research recently submitted an NSF grant proposal fund a series of working conferences to engage faculty from the Upper Great Plains region and beyond to develop a collection of cyber security education modules designed to be self-contained allowing their use together or for instructors to use just one or a small collection to inject relevant content coverage into their courses.
