Infrastructure Study Cited in Local Press ReportsPosted: Aug 10, 2017 An article July 31 in the Grand Forks Herald noted a lack of funding for local road agencies struggling to keep up with road maintenance projects. The article cites a study conducted by UGPTI for the North Dakota Legislature that indicated infrastructure needs for roads and bridges in North Dakota cities, townships and counties would equal $8.8 billion over the next 20 years. The article also appeared on the webpages of WDAY-TV, The Forum of Fargo-Moorhead, the Bismarck Tribune and the Dickinson Press. The outlets are all a part of Forum Communications. The Herald published a follow-up editorial Aug. 1 calling for an increase in the gas tax to fund infrastructure projects. |
