UGPTI Explores Collaboration with Pedigree TechnologiesPosted: May 29, 2017 Brenda Lantz, Wade Wilson, Denver Tolliver, Josh DeCock and Raj BridgelallUGPTI researchers are discussing possible areas for collaboration with Pedigree Technologies, a Fargo-based logistics technology solutions provider. Denver Tolliver, Raj Bridgelall and Brenda Lantz from UGPTI attended an open house May 23 at Pedigree celebrating FMCSA certification of the company's ELD (Electronic Logging Device) Chrome solution. ELD Chrome electronically records critical data such as driving hours, vehicle inspection reports, fuel receipts, and state mileage. Utilizing ELDs to generate electronic logbooks meets Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations while streamlining reporting and improving accuracy. The information is instantly pushed from in-cab devices to OneView, Pedigree's machine-to-machine platform, allowing office staff to immediately pull reports for IFTA, DOT, and FMCSA compliance reporting. Information from these and other Pedigree products could provide a large volume of data that UGPTI experts could mine for research on logistics optimization, fleet management and other topics. Wade Wilson, CEO of Pedigree, formerly worked with UGPTI and Josh DeCock, Pedigree's product management director, graduated from NDSU with a degree in electrical engineering. |
