"Accuracy enhancement of roadway anomaly localization using connected vehicles" describes development of a method to estimate and remove localization errors from data collected by connected vehicle sensors. Using the GPS sensors and accelerometers aboard connected vehicles offers a lower cost alternative to identifying roadway anomalies such as potholes and broken pavement while also increasing the frequency and span of coverage over existing methods. |
