Transit Radio System (TRS)

A system comprised of data, voice and Wide Area Network (WAN) radios used by transit operators as part of an Advanced Transportation Management System (ATMS). The data radio provides real-time fleet management and text-based radio messages. The voice radio is used for all voice communication, such as when an operator uses the bus two-way radio. The WAN radio is used to transfer data files and system updates.
