Transit Development Plan (TDP)

A comprehensive look at existing transportation programs and an analysis of transportation needs completed on a formal basis to assist transit systems plan for creating and achieving their mobility goals. Components of a Transit Development Plan include: an analysis of area demographics; a transportation service inventory; a transportation equipment inventory; a review of trip generators; population and economic projections; the performance of a gap analysis to determine unmet transit needs; a list of recommendations; and finally, implementation strategies.
