Direct Cost
A cost (e.g., labor, services, materials and supplies) which is incurred exclusively for a particular function, mode, and type of service. For example, a driver whose time is spent solely in driving a bus (vehicle operations); a mechanic who works only on agency buses (vehicle maintenance); etc.
