The North Dakota Local Technical Assistance Program, a part of the Upper Great Plains Transportation Institute at North Dakota State University, was recently awarded the Friend of NDACE Award by the North Dakota Association of County Engineers.
The award is the highest award presented by the organization and NDLTAP program director Dale Heglund accepted the award on LTAP's behalf at the association's annual meeting in January. The award is presented in appreciation of support and dedication to the goals and objectives of the North Dakota Association of County Engineers. NDLTAP provides information, training, and technical assistance to counties and townships on highway transportation related technology and issues.
In addition to Heglund, staff at NDLTAP include Denise Brown, training coordinator; Sandy Baisch, administrative secretary; Chris Padilla, technical training specialist; Leanna Emmer, specialist on truck size and weight issues; and Curt Glascoe, specialist on rural road maintenance, management and repair.
