Speaker Bio

Robert Miles, P.E. is the Director of Traffic and Safety for the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT), responsible for serving the people of Utah and providing the best transportation system possible to them. He joined UDOT in 2009 and over his 22-year career, has served in multiple capacities including: Design Engineer, Structures Manager, Traffic Operations Engineer and District Engineer. He has been instrumental to UDOT's design teams and the incorporation of safety improvements as a fundamental part of the State's transportation infrastructure.

Mr. Miles completed his bachelor's degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering at Utah State University. He enjoys spending his free time with his wife and four children.
