Salvador Hernandez, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor in the School of Civil and Construction Engineering at Oregon State University (OSU). He earned his Ph.D. degree in Transportation Infrastructure Systems Engineering at Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana in 2010.
His current research leverages knowledge and experience to produce solutions to the complex and multifaceted problems inherent in transportation systems. His research derives knowledge from social sciences and computational sciences to create meaningful solutions for problems in Transportation Safety, Freight Logistics, Transportation Systems Modeling, and Disaster Management. He blends the development of new science-based approaches with practical applications and implementation.
