NDSU Researchers Tapped to Edit Special Issue of Smart Cities Journal

The special issue is intended to create a forum for advancing research related to connected, autonomous, and connected and autonomous vehicles to support researchers, car manufacturers, government agencies, scientists, and engineers to better evaluate the future impacts of automation in vehicles and develop more reliable connected and autonomous vehicles for their applications in smart cities. Submissions are being accepted until May 31, 2022.

Huang is an associate professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering with research interests in smart cities and autonomous vehicles, intelligent transportation systems, pavement and traffic monitoring, and the use of smart materials. Bridgelall is an assistant professor in the Department of Transportation, Logistics and Finance with research interests in connected and autonomous vehicles, big data analytics, cloud computing, intelligent transportation solutions, and remote sensing. Lu is an associate professor in the Department of Transportation, Logistics, and Finance with research interests in connected and autonomous vehicles, smart transportation, asset management, smart structure health monitoring, transportation safety, and big data analytics.
