Dr. Hamad Al Qublan began working with UGPTI's Small Urban and Rural Center of Mobility in 2021 as Post-Doctoral Research Specialist. His research areas include the role of public transportation to increase food access and decrease food insecurity, food access, and food deserts issues in rural and small urban areas of the United States and food access for native Americans.

He received his Graduate Degree Certificate in Statistics and Ph.D. in Transportation and Logistics from North Dakota State University (NDSU). His dissertation focused on the Logistics of the North Dakota State Local Food System. He holds a dual concentrations MBA in Global Business and Marketing from the University of Dallas. He has a BSc in Clinical Medical Laboratory from Applied Medical Sciences College, King Saud University.

Dr. Al Qublan worked for eight years in three different hospitals in Riyadh, Alkhobar, and Dammam in Saudi Arabia. He held the title of Supervisor for the last two positions. Additionally, he worked as an Assistant for the HR Deputy Manager for four years during his undergraduate study.
