A joint Task Force (A5T69) and University of Michigan (now Georgia Tech) Trucking Industry Program study of security issues was begun with a joint meeting on November 5, 2001.
The work of developing security suggestions was divided up into four area (subcommittees):- Drivers - co-chaired by Todd Spencer and Bill Rogers
- Facilities - co-chaired by Christina Casgar and Roger Moore
- Vehicles - chair undetermined
