- Immediate Research Needs
- Decided that we need to have a research session to plan research that builds on productivity issues. The meeting should lead to one or more white papers on the following subjects:
- Regulation and productivity
- Capacity and productivity
- Safety and productivity
- Technology and productivity
- It was also decided that we need to more to disseminate information. Suggestions included creating a web site with presentations. We could also provide recommendations and literature reviews.
- Decided that we need to have a research session to plan research that builds on productivity issues. The meeting should lead to one or more white papers on the following subjects:
- TRB Annual Meeting 2002
- Several options were discussed, but no conclusion was reached. The options included:
- Joint meeting with existing committee
- Urban Freight
- Economics and Regulation
- Size & Regulation
- More panel discussions focusing on relation between productivity and one or more of several topics:
- Safety
- Size & Weight
- Cost
- Infrastructure
- Focusing on our ability to bring industry to the table to discuss tough issues.
