Gravel Shortage Options

This study primarily examines the extent of gravel shortage in North Dakota and identifies and evaluates plausible alternatives. The specific objectives covered in this report are to:

  1. Assess the severity of the gravel shortage in North Dakota
  2. Identify common gravel sources in North Dakota and the surrounding states
  3. Consider gravel road alternatives
  4. Apply life-cycle cost analysis to a case study to demonstrate an alternative evaluation
