The Impacts of Rail Restructuring on Rural America

In cooperation with the USDA, the UGPTI is currently examining the impact that rail restructuring has had on rural America. The study examines the scope of rail abandonment and the characteristics of areas where abandonment has occurred since deregulation, and provides case studies of areas where abandonment has occurred.
