The Paul Abrahamson and Transportation Engineering Scholarships are being offered to NDSU students through the Upper Great Plains Transportation Institute. These scholarships are offered annually, and are funded by the Mountain-Plains Consortium. Interested students should be juniors and seniors interested in transportation and who exhibit academic excellence. Two students will be selected for each scholarship worth $1500 per academic year.

The scholarship application deadline is quickly approaching. Applications are due Mar. 24, 2010.

UGPTI Applies for TIGER funding

The North Dakota Department of Transportation, in collaboration with the Upper Great Plains Transportation Institute and the Fargo-Moorhead Metropolitan Council of Governments, has applied for TIGER funding for construction of a Center for Transportation Studies at NDSU. The project will include a regional traffic operations center and include the installation of a significant amount of Intelligent Transportation System infrastructure and devices in the Fargo-Moorhead area which will connect to the NDSU traffic operations center.
