Ag and Food Transportation Conference 2008 Proceedings
The outstanding program assembled for the 2008 Summit; held in Washington, D.C. December 2-3, 2008; featured noted experts in the field of international agricultural and transportation, trade and food security. Former U.S. Secretary of Agriculture and U.S. Trade Representative opened the initial Summit session with an overview of the agricultural trade and transportation in the 21st century. Jolanta Iwanicka, First Secretary, Embassy of Poland gave a through presentation on the importance and status of biofuels in Poland and the European Union, and the impacts of renewable fuels on agriculture policy and transportation challenges. Dr. Wallace Tyner, Professor, Agriculture Economics, Purdue University was the presenter on the topic, "Food vs. Fuel, The Real Story".
