Gary has 42 years of experience in the field of transportation engineering. He retired in 2005 from the North Dakota Department of Transportation after a 37-year career. He is respected for his knowledge and experiences in all aspects of transportation. Gary is involved with the UGPTI's Rural Transportation Safety and Security Center, Transportation Learning Network, DOT Support Center, and North Dakota Local Technical Assistance Program (NDLTAP).
